Just got home from my second hospital stay in a week and a half. The first was for my Tonsillectomy. I left hospital with a pretty sore throat thinking it wasn't as bad a I thought it would be. Little did I know it would get worse and wouldn't improve for over a week. After spending 8 days in bed, barely being able to eat, my throat decided to start bleeding causing a blood clot. Lucky me, it wasn't able to be fixed in emergency, so it was back to surgery for me. This second stay was for 2 nights. Hospital is so boring, and they bloody well charge you for TV usage! Admittedly they have some pay tv channels, but only about 4 or 5.

Funnily, I do feel better now. Still have a sore throat, and have to be careful when I eat, but at least I can eat and I'm not bed ridden like last week.

And to top it off, I have 4 1/2 days to recover and pack before my move to Bendigo on Saturday. Oh, joy!!

Not long back from the police station. I accidentally, but stupidly, left my car unlocked last night and some fucking knob decided to help himself to my i-pod, my phone car charge, my phone handsfree and a handful of change (about $5, but still!!!!). All up I've lost probably about $450-$500 worth. The cop said they can't do much except take a report 'cause there's not likely to be any prints (i'd already touched where they might've been before i'd realised what had happened). The only good thing to come out of all of this was that the cop was cute. :-)

Ah well, my stuff's probably already been hocked and some junkie has managed to get his next fix or 2. Great!!!

So, I went out for dinner last night to catch up with 2 friends that I used to work with at Heidelberg and their partners. It was the first time I'd met one of the guys (aka the arsehole) and let's just say I was far from impressed.

It started when we were waiting to order. We were trying to get the attention of one of the waiters when he yells out "Hey, I'm hungry!". The waiter eventually comes over and the arsehole's girlfriend orders for both of them but forgets what he wanted for an entree. She asked him what it was again and he just gave her the death stare saying "I've already told you what I want!".

Later on he wanted another drink but apparently he's not capable of doing anything himself. He asked his girlfriend to order him a coke, but with all our catching up, she'd forgotten by the time a waiter walked past. Rather than ordering one himself he takes her drink and when she looks at him for doing this he says "I've already asked you 10 times to get me a coke!"

This sort of crap carried on throughout the meal. I felt so embarrassed for my friend.

Anyway, arsehole and the other partner (aka. the good guy) went outside for a cigarette at one point. Later on the good guy tells me that while they were outside, arsehole started crapping on about gays and his issues with it all. He wouldn't tell me exactly what was being said (he was quite drunk by this point and I'm not sure he could actually remember, lol) but he said that the arsehole was clearly homophobic.

I had actually suspected that the arsehole might have had issues but was only sure when the good guy confirmed it. I don't particularly give a shit because he's definitely not someone who I'd want as a friend. Unfortunately, my friend is unlikely to leave him, so I'll have to put up with him for her sake.
